The God of all comfort

I know several people who are going through a devastating season, and some who are going through very difficult times, and others who are going through times of great transition or personal transformation.

Recently, my heart has been broken for those who are going through some of the toughest life issues, extreme losses, and realities that cannot be changed… but miraculously in these cases these everyday people, like you and me, have looked to God and become an example of godly strength.

These people have become blessings to me as I have heard of them holding onto God in the midst of their extreme heartache.

They did not blame God for their circumstances. I am sure they wondered why... but they looked to their God who had been faithful in their lives. They trusted that He would be faithful in this most difficult situation. They grieved but grieved as one with hope.

It is seeing others in those seasons as they hold onto God, that we see God the clearest!

Friends… Jesus shines the brightest when we are going through the valley, yet still holding onto His hand as we walk through with faith.

I have had difficult seasons when I knew Jesus was the only way I was going to get through them.

Sometimes in those difficult, lonely, painful places, as well as in our times of transition and transformation, all we can do is cry out to the One who can comfort us.

He meets us where we are, and He comforts us.

He is our comforter.

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

2 Corinthians 1:2-4 NIV (key words bolded)

What I have learned is that our lives give us many opportunities to look to God to comfort us.

I know firsthand, that God will take our greatest pain, disappointment, or sorrow and saturate those depths with His peace, comfort, and love.

After relying on God in my devastated seasons, I now know that according to the depth that we need Him, He is there. To the depth of our emptiness is to the depth that He faithfully fills us. He will meet us where we are BECAUSE that is Who HE IS!

To the degree that we need Him, we find Him faithful.

He can keep us, heal us, and even bless us beyond measure. Our God is always with us. In His presence we can have His peace. .

By watching those amazing Christian brothers and sisters that I mentioned above, they represent to us all… a FAITHFUL God who can keep us in all our troubles, seasons, devastations, and losses.

Our God is faithful. Remember and hold onto His past faithfulness because it is a strong foundation on which we can stand for a new perspective in our current situation!

God knows your needs. He is faithful to meet you where you are… comfort you and give you His peace regardless of life’s circumstances.

I am praying for you friend,

Dawn

Now may the Lord of peace Himself grant you His peace at all times and in every way [that peace and spiritual well-being that comes to those who walk with Him, regardless of life’s circumstances]. The Lord be with you all.

2 Thessalonians 3:16 (AMP
