Friend, I want to share a scripture that impacted me this week.
As I read Psalm 121… I felt the words strengthen me with its truth. As I wrote down this Psalm in my journal, I felt that God wanted me to write it as a personal message to myself. What I did was personalize the scripture by inserting my name.
That is how I am going to share this message with you. First, I will share Psalm 121 (NLT). Then I will share it personalized for you. I hope this blesses you as it has blessed me!
Psalm 121
I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there?
My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth!
He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber.
Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps.
The LORD Himself watches over you! The LORD stands beside you as your protective shade.
The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night.
The LORD keeps you from all harm and watches over your life.
The LORD keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever
Okay now let’s personalize this scripture.
I am going to bold what impacted my heart.
When I insert your name, imagine God is speaking to you.
I look up to the mountains—
does my help come from there?
My help comes from the LORD,

Friend, He will NOT let you stumble;

The LORD STANDS BESIDE You as your PROTECTIVE SHADE.

BOTH NOW and FOREVER.
What an amazing scripture! I hope you feel loved and cared for by God.
I'm so glad that the Word of God is living and active, and God speaks to us through His Word. I love how the Lord can illuminate a passage that I have known to make it “brand-new” and more impactful. When I am sitting in His presence, reading His Word, and talking to Him about what is impacting my heart this deepens my relationship with Him every time.
Let’s be encouraged to press into our relationship with God.
Ask Him to teach us through His Word
Sit in His presence… soak up His goodness
Talk to Him… take in His love
Trust in His care and allow Him to lead us
Friend, let’s look up to the LORD. He is where our help comes from! He is able to keep us. He is God Almighty, the One who made heaven and earth! He stands beside you as your protective shade. He watches over you day and night as you come and go, both now and forevermore.
