You Are Loved

Friend, I was reminded of an amazing scripture that we can pray for ourselves, our loved ones, and those in the church. As I read over this scripture in Ephesians today, I began to pray it for you. Then I strongly felt that the Lord wanted me to share this message with you. Honestly I love you, and I want you to know that the Lord is with you and He wants you to grasp the depth, width, length, and height of His love! Lean in and receive the truths enwrapped in this prayer.



A Prayer for you from Ephesians 1:14-19 (NIV)

(I added bullet points, bolding and italics.)


For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name.

  • I pray that out of His glorious riches

  • He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being,

o so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.

  • And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love,

  • may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people,

o to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,

  • and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—

o that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.



Friend, I pray that God strengthens you with His power in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your heart through faith. I pray that you have the power to grasp the dimensions of the love Christ Jesus has for you. Although this amazing love is above our ability to know in the natural… we can know it by the Spirit who lives within us.


I pray you will know and be filled to the fullest measure of God’s love.


We can be overwhelmed by the true depth of love from our God. In this type of love we know we are known, seen and have no need to pretend.


And when we understand how loved we are… we find ourselves in a beautiful overwhelm.


In my personal walk with God, it was many years before I knew I was LOVED by God. Do you know when I began to understand God’s love? It was when I opened up my heart and I allowed God into every messy, dark and painful room. My deepest understanding of God’s love occurred when I trusted Him to heal my deepest pains.


By faith we can open wide our hearts and our arms to completely receive all the fullness of the Lord’s love. Even in our ugliest moments, or when we feel stuck, unseen, or are broken by pain or sorrow, we can by faith look to God and be filled with His Spirit’s power, which enables us to know and experience the love that Almighty God has for us.


Let’s not wall God out or go through the Christian motions allowing our negative emotions, deep sorrow, or woundedness to rule our hearts. Let’s instead believe the powerful inerrant Word of God, which tells us again and again that our God desires a relationship of love with each of us.


When we question God’s love or feel weighed down by the cares of this life, we can pray Ephesians as a prayer for ourselves.

Friend, YOU ARE LOVED! Receive His love and may you be filled and overflowing with the powerful love of God!
